Soon to Offer Gas Engine Parts / Service and Marine Accessories for all Vessels
Effective January 1 2013, Starling Marine will take over the marine gas engine parts and service operations currently run by Gregory Poole Marine in the same building adjacent to Starling’s Morehead City Sales location on Highway 70 East. This location at 4971 Arendell Street will also continue to offer a vast stock of marine accessories such as safety equipment, lines and hardware, as well as used Caterpillar diesel parts. Gregory Poole Marine will refocus efforts on their core business of Caterpillar diesel engine sales and service through their Beaufort headquarters at the Jarrett Bay Marine Industrial Park off Highway 101.

Heather Pope Foster Family Overwhelmed by Outpouring of Community Support
Earlier this month, Starling Marine hosted their annual Summer Celebration fundraiser for the family of Heather Pope Foster. Raising the most money in the event’s history – thanks to the overwhelming support of the Wilmington community and businesses, Starling Marine is overjoyed to present a check for $18,000 to benefit the Foster Family.
The Summer Celebration fundraising festivities included a dinner catered by MOI, an auction of over 100 items, more than 800 event t-shirts sold across the United States, and a one-day family fishing tournament in Wrightsville Beach.
Bryan Starling commented, “We raised more money this year than ever before – and by a long shot. It was a great event with approximately 425 guests attending the dinner & auction, and just under 30 boats fishing in the tournament. We are humbled by the number of people that joined us in celebrating Heather, and are especially thankful for everyone who volunteered and donated to make this year’s Summer Celebration the best ever.”

Starling Marine would like to invite you to the 3rd annual Summer Celebration on August 4th, 2012. Last year’s fundraiser was a huge success. Thanks to local businesses and our community, we were able to raise over $9,000 towards medical bills for the Saggese family.
This year’s event will be a family fundraiser to benefit the Foster family. Heather Pope Foster was a local woman who lost her battle on June 2nd to Stage IV Lung Cancer. We are currently looking for donations for this year’s silent auction. We hope that your business will again donate to this important fundraiser. Put the date on your calendar so that you can join us in celebrating the life of Heather Pope Foster as well as to help raise money for her family and their medical expenses. Some boatbuilders are using words such as “crossover,” “hybrid” and “multifunction” to describe their new models. Take Pursuit, for instance.
“It’s built to be a great crossover boat for whatever offshore or inshore activity you want to do,” Pursuit Boats marketing manager David Glenn says of the new ST 310. “There is a bit of a transition away from the real hard-core fishing [center console].”
You can do pretty much anything you want to do with this boat — fish, dive, swim, tow water-toy riders, take a dinner cruise.

Starling Marine will be sponsoring the Coastal Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament being held this weekend, April 29th & 30th. The event will be held at Cape Fear National at Brunswick Forest on Saturday and move to Landfall’s award-winning Pete Dye Golf Course on Sunday.
Starling Marine will be displaying their Bulls Bay 151, available through an auction. There will also be a special opportunity to win a Parker 21SE via a hole-in-one policy.
