for our upcoming event to tour new and pre-owned boats and enjoy informative presentations from local fishing guides and charter operators to learn more about boating along the Crystal Coast. Whether you're a new boater, new to the area or a non-boater with interest in our waterways, we hope you'll join us for this Introduction to Life on the Water in Carteret County.

In addition to answering any questions you may have about promotional pricing and rebates available on new models and Yamaha outboards, the Starling Marine team will be grilling up lunch and serving refreshments! Plus, this event marks the return of Saturday hours for our parts department. Be sure to visit the Starling Marine Ship's Store during this event to take advantage of great deals on different items and product collections. 

Presentations:

  • Capt. Bobby Shultz and Capt. Pete Koltun for a "local waters" knowledge presentation. They will cover area specific boating, safety, and certain safe routes for new boaters to explore with comfort.
  • Eco-tourism with Capt. Walker Whitley. What to find, where to look, scenic cruises, where are some places to enjoy what the county has to offer via water. Plus, for those interested in branching into aquaculture, Capt. Whitley will share information on cage-grown oysters in the area.
  • Local inshore fishing guide Capt. Jake Geary (Reely Livin' Fishing) offering a holistic inshore/nearshore fishing and easy introductory fishing techniques for the species he is targeting.
  • Capt. Byron Shults presenting on nearshore and offshore opportunities, while providing an overview of the different styles and types of fishing that the Crystal Coast has to offer.
